Dr. Steve Marinkovich, (pronounced: Mar-ink-o-vich, emphasis on the “ink,” it’s easy!) was born and raised in Tacoma. He presently serves part time on th...Read Moree clinical faculty at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Restorative Dentistry, and is credentialed by the Certification Board of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. There are not many dentists with this distinction. Steve is also one of the very few dentists in the area that has been honored with the prestigious fellowship in both the American and International Colleges of Dentists. Membership to these organizations are gained through nomination by one’s peers, based on professional integrity, caliber of treatment, and outstanding service to the community and the profession. In the past, for six years, Dr. M was a member of the Washington State Board of Dental Examiners, (the folks who test dentists and issue licenses to practice in this state), including serving as the board’s president. Acting as a Consultant to two different insurance companies and an investigator for the State of Washington, with regard to fairness in health care issues, along with activity in dental organizations, have been valuable learning experiences to add to his diverse expertise. Steve enjoys all forms of sports, most notably golf, fly fishing, and tries to stay fit with exercise. He and his wife enjoy travel and going to the movies. Read Less

Dr. Smith grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula and is originally from Olalla/Port Orchard where he attended South Kitsap High School. He attended school at Washington State University in Pullman and graduated with his bachelors in Zoology in 1999. While in Pullman, Dr. Smith was a member of the track and field team and competed in the 400 meter hurdles. After that he went straight into dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with his D.D.S. in 2003. Dr. Smith loves being physically active and enjoys living a healthy lifestyle, and believes in a proactive approach to health and taking care of the entirety of who we are as humans. He engages in activities such as hiking and enjoying the beauty of nature, where he has hiked in many beautiful locations across the world. Some of his favorite destinations include Switzerland, Cinque Terre, the Grand Canyon and Brazil. He also enjoys working out at the gym, and he is a certified yoga instructor. Melinda’s family inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare as many of her family members are employed within the profession. Now after fifteen years, she most enjoys hearing how dental care has positively impacted her patients and when they leave with a smile on their face. Her favorite sweet indulgence is good chocolate and she loves animals, including her dogs, Jake, Tex and Austin. In her spare time she shows Arabian horses.

Jennifer recently moved back to the Tacoma area from Vermont. She is originally from here and adores the PNW. Having completed her dental assisting program at South Puget Sound Community College, she has been in the dental field for over 8 years. She loves assisting because she enjoys helping people stay healthy and educating them about their dental care. Jennifer is married with 3 fur-babies. As a young child, Sheryl wanted to work at her Dentist’s office. After high school, she pursued an education in Dental Assisting before going on to become a Dental Hygienist. She enjoys meeting new people and finds her career extremely rewarding! Sheryl spends her free time with her two daughters camping, boating and shopping.

Fascinated by science, health, the human body and teeth in particular, Lindsey began her career in kindergarten. In fact, she was the official “tooth puller” on the playground. Combining this with her love of meeting and getting to know new people, Lindsey feels she has the best of both! Originally from the Olympic Peninsula, Bailey grew up loving sports and the outdoors. She went on to Central Washington University where she graduated with a degree in Public Relations & Community Recreation. Emily was born in the beautiful PNW, and has lived here most of her life.
