I am originally from Ontario, Canada, and moved to Florida with my family as a young child.  I was fortunate to have a great orthodontist when I was growing up and my time in orthodontic treatment was positively life-changing. I received my dental education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and was elected to serve as class president and student body president.  I graduated at the top of my class and was recognized for my leadership and dedication to the profession with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence.  I was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. I completed my orthodontic residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.  There, I was able to learn from distinguished faculty and gain experience with many cutting edge orthodontic techniques, including mini-implant TADs, accelerated tooth movement, and 3D imaging.  Upon graduation, I received my Certificate in Orthodontics, as well as my Master’s degree for my research thesis studying the effects of jaw position on breathing and sleep apnea. It was during this time that I met my husband and had the opportunity to travel to some amazing places in the world! Following my time in the Air Force, I pursued specialty training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a leading institution in the field of orthodontics. There I gained extensive clinical experience and was involved in research on bone anchored maxillary protraction for underbite treatment. Outside of the office, I love to spend time with my husband, Calvin and our new golden retriever puppy. I am an avid runner and enjoy exploring local trails, skiing, and cooking Italian food!
