Dr. Graichen is a native North Carolinian. She was born and raised outside Raleigh, North Carolina and her parents are originally from Dresden, Germany, so she grew up speaking both English and German. Dr. Graichen graduated with honors from St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Upon graduating high school she received the prestigious Marian Drane Graham award. She then enrolled in the Medical University of South Carolina’s James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During her time in dental school, Dr. Graichen was able to go on dental mission trips to the African countries of Burundi and Uganda, as well as Ecuador. While on these trips, she gained valuable perspective on the vast dental and medical needs worldwide. Volunteering and giving back to the community is something Dr. Graichen is very passionate about. In order to further her education and broaden her scope of dental practice, Dr. Graichen attended a two-year General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. During her residency, she gained valuable experience in treating medically complex patients and patients with dental trauma. Since her residency, Dr. Graichen has worked as an associate dentist in a private practice in Charlotte. Her main goal is to provide high quality dental care to her patients in a fun and caring environment. Expanding her treatment capabilities through continuing education and current dental literature is a high priority for Dr. Graichen. She is Invisalign® certified. Read Less
