A native of South Boston, Virginia, Dr. Ligon graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S in Biology and minor in Spanish. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University and after graduation completed a yearlong Advanced Education in General Dentistry post-doctoral residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Ligon thrives on educating his patients and providing comprehensive thoughtful care to each of them. Dr. Ligon has also volunteered his time in rural parts of Virginia, Indian reservations in North Carolina, and really enjoyed two separate mission trips to Jamaica to provide free dentistry to an underserved population. Dr. Ligon consistently exceeds the requirements for continuing education throughout his years of practice and believes constantly learning about new procedures and techniques allows him to provide his patients with the best dental care possible. He has trained at the Dawson Academy for dental education and has been a member of the prestigious Seattle Study Club for the past four years.
