DR. NELSON Although his service in the military and his church has taken him and his family around the world, Dr. Daniel Nelson feels most at home in the Mountain West. Born in Denver and raised in the Salt Lake Valley, "Dr. Dan" has his roots deep in the Rockies. Dr. Nelson has been happy in service whether it be for his country, his family, his community, or for his church. He has been blessed to have served a two year mission in the state of Iowa prior to attending college and is proud of his military career while serving overseas as an officer in the Air Force. Dr. Nelson believes strongly in the core values taught by the USAF of "Integrity First", "Service Before Self", and "Excellence In All We Do". He loves his family and his career, and has a true passion for both. On any given weekend you are just as likely to find him in the mountains camping and riding his motorcycle, at the hardware store working on his next "project", skiing Baldy, or at the theater catching a movie. Dr. Jared J. Hill is an Idaho native, born and raised in Boise before going to college at Brigham Young University. He took a two year break from his studies to perform missionary service in the country of Argentina where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. It gave me an opportunity to give some time and service back to a community that I really grew to love." Dr. Hill feels the same about the Wood River Valley. He has continued to give back to this community as he has spent the last 8 years working extensively with the Boy Scouts of America in the Wood River Valley. He also enjoys volunteering at the elementary schools during dental health month to do free exams and consultations for kids. Though his wife supports "Dr. J" on his weekend warrior athletic competitions (basketball, triathlons, and waterskiing), she has to gently remind him that he is not 18 anymore, even if his competitive spirit still wants to be. Dr. McKenney was happy to escape the heat of Phoenix, Arizona to move back to her home state. Originally from Idaho Falls she moved to Pocatello where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Idaho State University. Christy Flynn - You don't know Christy yet? You might be the last one not to. Christy worked here in the valley for a long time before taking a short break to work and raise her family in Boise. She is back now and is grateful to be "home" in the Wood River Valley and "home" at Wood River Dental Care. We also are glad that she is "home"!

Shayla was born and raised in Idaho. She completed her bachelor’s of science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1998 from Idaho State University. She has been with Wood River Dental Care since 2014. She enjoys promoting oral health and working to build strong relationships with her patients.

Janet is an experienced dental hygienist with a periodontal background. She has specialty training in Perioscopy, “periodontal endoscopy”, a non surgical procedure. Her calm demeanor puts people at ease from the moment you meet her. In her off time you can find Janet in the outdoors year round enjoying all that Idaho has to offer

Brooke is a Seattle native who moved to Blaine Co. in 2014 to attend dental hygiene school at C.S.I. Her passion in dental hygiene, is to help the community she lives in to obtain their optimal oral & overall health! Kim grew up in the Midwest and went to hygiene school in Michigan. Kim has been a hygienist for 35 years 23 years in a periodontal practice and 12 years in a general practice.Kim moved from Colorado to Idaho in 2008 to be closer to her family.

Shanell brings many years of experience, inspiring confidence, trust, and tranquility for the patient. She is a busy mother of 2 young boys who keep her hopping! You could not be in better hands if she is assisting your dental needs, but if she has a softball in her hand you better hope she's on your team!

Arielle is a south Mississippi native who moved to the valley 7 years ago, where she lives with her boyfriend, two daughters and her dog. She obtaining her EDDA Certificate from LSU. After graduation Arielle focused on perio before moving to the valley. Arielle has a passion for patient care and is excited to be a part of the Wood River Dental Care Family.
