James W. W. McCreight, DDS (Dr. Jim) was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. He received his BA from Luther College obtaining a major in Biology in 1991. After his undergraduate education, Dr. Jim went on to receive his dental degree (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1995. As a graduating senior, Dr. Jim was selected by the dental faculty to present the commencement address for the graduating dental and hygiene classes that same year. Dr. Jim continued his dental ed...Read Moreucation by completing an advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) through the Naval Dental Center of San Diego, CA in 1996. He was a commissioned officer in the Navy (Lieutenant) during this training period. Dr. Jim then worked at several dental clinics in San Diego and Yuma, AZ helping both active duty Navy and Marine personnel. Dr. Jim and his wife and partner, Dr. Wendy McCreight founded McCreight Progressive Dentistry (formerly Yampa Valley Dental and Associates, PC) in 1998. Drs. Jim and Wendy also founded the McCreight Smile Foundation in December 2006 which is a dental fund that directly supports victims of domestic violence of Northwest Colorado. Dr. Jim is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), studying both cosmetic and physiologic dentistry. Dr. Jim was also selected as one of forty-eight clinical instructors in the world to teach at LVI. Dr. Jim taught the LVI Advanced Anterior and Comprehensive Aesthetic Reconstruction Programs teaching dentists from around the world state of the art cosmetic and physiologic dentistry for 16 years. Dr. Jim also serves as a key opinion leader (KOL) for several dental manufacturers including PerioProtect, Kettenbach, Solution Reach, BioResearch and Dakota Pharmacy. Dr. Jim maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, a Fellow in the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics (IAPA), the Colorado Dental Association, the Western Slope Dental Association and Rotary International (Paul Harris Fellow). Wendy M. McCreight, DDS (Dr Wendy). was born and raised in Littleton, CO. She received her BS in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado in 1988. She worked 5 years as a registered nurse in Oral surgery and Cardiology. Her nursing career allowed her to work in both Iowa and Texas. Dr. Wendy has continued her post graduate training attending the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), studying cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry. She maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Western Slope Dental Association and the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IAPA). Born in Ft. Myers, FL, Noelle spent her early years playing tennis. Not long after, she moved with her family to Steamboat Springs, CO, in 2010, where she spent the rest of her youth years attending local grade schools and Steamboat Mountain High School. Through her high school years, she had the opportunity to travel the world and immerse herself in different cultures, helping with different charities along the way. She still managed to make time for tennis, in which she played on the Women’s...Read More Tennis Team at Cornell College for one year (2020-2021), all while studying pre-med and kinesiology. During Noelle’s break from college, she found herself in the medical field while taking a job at UC Health Hospital as a diet technician. It was this experience that eventually led her to the opportunity to be a part of the McCreight Progressive Dentistry team in late 2022. Starting as a hygienist assistant and sterilization technician, she quickly learned the ropes, opening the door to her current position as a dental assistant working alongside Dr. Wendy and Dr. Jim. Today she is passionate to learn more about the dentistry world, and is excited to see where this position takes her next! Outside the office, Noelle enjoys camping, paddleboarding with her dog, playing tennis, painting, cooking, baking and most of all, counting the days until her favorite holiday: Christmas!
