I was born and raised in Taiwan. My family moved to San Jose, California when I was 14, where I attended high school. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Music. I then attended the School of Dental and Oral Surgery at Columbia University in New York City. I used to have very crooked teeth. Yes, VERY crooked! After an initial struggle with my mother who insisted that I have orthodontic work, and almost four years of wearing metal brackets on my teeth, I realized just how much having a better smile had positively impacted my life in so many different ways. I was born and educated in Scotland, United Kingdom where my family remains. Following college, I worked on numerous major construction projects throughout Europe as a computer systems lead engineer before coming to the US on a lucrative contract in PA and NY before finally reaching the Bay Area.
