Technical proficiency came easily to her, and it was early in her career that she discovered a talent that cannot be taught: a highly developed aesthetic sensibility. In 2009, Dr. Karimyan received her certification from Perio Protect, L.L.C to treat Periodontal Disease. Background After graduating from USC with a degree in Gerontology as well as an emphasis in biology in 2001, Dr. Karimyan moved to NYC to attend NYU's College of Dentistry. After graduation, he performed surgical dental procedures in his first residency in the Central California Veterans Hospital and Fresno Community Hospital, the only Class I trauma hospital between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
