Oral / Facial Photographic Images - Dental Procedure Code Description

Periodic and comprehensive oral evaluations at your dental office frequently employ the use of radiographs (X-rays), to help visualize your teeth and bones in ways not possible via the naked eye. Likewise, imagery captured via a digital or film camera can also provide beneficial diagnostic information.

With this code, the use of traditional film and digital photography of a patient’s face, neck and head, are covered, as well as the use of intra-oral cameras to take close-up pictures of plaque, gingivitis, restorations, etc.
