I just had my annual checkup and cleaning with Dr. Pickens and Leanne. They are both professional and thorough. I would highly recommend this practice because they know what they are doing and don't recommend anything you don't need. For an example: My husband was in an accident where the bones holding his teeth were crushed and several teeth were chipped or broken off, so he went to see Dr. Pickens. Dr. Pickens recommended a great oral surgeon, then said my husband would need a lot more wor...read morek. Dr. Pickens gave us two choices - the work could all be done by Dr. Pickens or my husband could have braces, then come back to Dr. Pickens for some additional work. When asked what would be best Dr. Pickens said - have braces first, then get some more work done (but not near as much work) with him. Dr. Pickens would have made more money if he had performed all the work, but he recommended what was best. read less

All of the staff at Pickens Family Dentistry have helped me overcome a fear I had of going to the dentist. They have even made it so I actually enjoy my dental appointments! They use top of the line technology and are very proactive and encourage me to take the best care of my mouth possible. I appreciate how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is. I highly recommend Pickens Family Dentistry!

I switched to Dr Pickens in 2015,and I discovered he is a very skilled dentist. Recently, he replaced an old filling close to the gum line. He completed the new filling in record time. I was amazed about the fact that I had no discomfort, and the porcelain filling matched the tooth perfectly. As I ran my tongue along the new surface, I could not tell where the filling ended and my tooth started! It was the easiest procedure I have ever had!

My experience with Pickens Family Dentistry has been awesome! The first time I came to the office was to get a second opinion about and before proceeding with 2 crowns that another office had recommended. I was very scared and stressed at the thought of needing so much work done. Dr. Pickens and his staff were patient with my stress. After looking at my x-rays, Dr. Pickens recommended a less invasive treatment plan for me. The staff are great and make you feel comfortable. Always friendly and wonderful service, they take time to get to know you. Very comfortable and clean, has a homey feel.
