So when I was growing up as a young kid I was tortured by a dentist that clearly did not know what he was doing and gave me numerous shots trying to numb an abscessed tooth. My screaming and cries were heard throughout the building, three staff members holding me down to the chair! Finally my parents removed me from there and my dentist days were over. Found a new dentist in Manistique who worked very extensively to assure me that it was all going to be ok....many trips later and some nitrous ga...read mores he was able to start the process of fixing my by now bad teeth. I grew up having toothaches over and over and just struggled through the pain. Then my newly found dentist in Manistique decided to retire, what was he thinking? So back to toothaches and endless pain until I couldn't take it anymore and started looking for a dentist that catered to cowards, yes I am a coward, and that's when I started traveling 100 miles one way to see "doc" Doc Jackson and his staff made me feel welcome and took their time with me knowing that I was not very comfortable in that chair. I still am not a fan of going to the dentist but I can at least now tolerate going thanks to the wonderful understanding staff at Doc's office. When I started seeing Doc, i had about three back teeth that were broke off flush with my gums and Doc said you have to go and get those removed and you will need an oral surgeon to do that. He said we will make you an appointment. So they did, but there was no way I was going to go to another dentist and be traumatized by someone I didn't trust or know anything about. After a couple more visits with Doc and him seeing that I hadn't taken care of my broken teeth, well all I can say is those broken teeth are gone now. My father went there, my son has gone there, my sister goes there and my wife and daughter goes there. I may still hover above the chair when I am there but I am able to get the work done I need to simply because of Doc's expert ability to keep this big chicken calm and distracted enough to do a great job patching up my smile.....these folks are fabulous read less

I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff and as a new patient had to fill out a simple questionnaire and provide proof of insurance. Dr Jackson was very professional and courteous and performed a replacement filling procedure for me. I felt as if I had been going to this dentist for a couple years as the staff treated me very well.

Dr.Jackson is the best dentist i ever had. Had him as a kid now have him as an adult. He does a great job on my teeth and always makes sure I'm not in any pain.

Today was my first visit as a new patient. Dr. Jackson is a very patient, soft-spoken, gentle Dentist. I had an excellent experience with him and Liz who I saw afterwards for a cleaning.

Staff is always friendly and fun and it's always a good time! The procedures are painless (even the drilling!) and quick. Penny at the front desk is always so friendly and welcoming. I recommend this office to everyone! Dr. Jackson is truly wonderful and a blessing to the dental world, as I've only had painful experiences at other offices making me void dentists for years. He has changed my view and I no longer dread going to my visits.
