I just received a second opinion from Dr. Rinaldi and feel compelled to write this review. I was a satisfied patient of Andover Smiles from 2006-2013. I then moved and after much research chose a highly rated dentist who practices near my new home. I have been with the new dentist now for six years. When I compare the two, certain things stand out. Both are highly competent and on the cutting edge of dentistry. Both are professional and well received in their communities. But when compare...read mored to Andover Smiles, the other practice comes up short. My current dentist is focused on dentistry while Andover Smiles is focused on people. When confronted with a recommendation that I should have two molars removed, I asked my current dentist to explain what had gone wrong and why that was the best treatment. He very quickly explained that the teeth had moved and there was an infection that would not go away. When I asked what we would do after the extractions, he indicated that there were several options and we would discuss them after the extractions. He then left the room after spending less than 4 minutes discussing the situation. This left me unsettled and I wanted a second opinion. When Andover Smiles agreed, I made a 4 hour round trip to North Andover. It was well worth it. Unexpectedly, I found that my current dentist had made the right diagnosis and recommended the correct procedure. So why was it worth the trip? The difference was that Dr. Rinaldi was able to give me a level of confidence not provided by my current dentist. Dr. Rinaldi is a great teacher and communicator. He was able (and willing) to explain the genesis of the problem, why the extractions were necessary and what could be done to bring things back to normal. What makes him special is his willingness to do what it take to satisfy his patients. Dr. Rinaldi is a good man and Andover Smiles is made up of good people. They are all warm conscientious professionals who are concerned for your welfare. It shows up when setting up appointments with Lori, having your teeth cleaned by Deb or when Dr Rinaldi explains in real time just how he is designing and constructing your crown with a 3D Printer. Years ago, I would never have thought that I would look forward to going to the dentist. But today I did. Thank you Andover Smiles. read less

I don't know whether their business is so bad that they had to start spamming people via text messages. I never gave them my phone # and not happy about long SMS redirecting people to their website. Shame.
