Dr. Murphy is simply the best! She is an attentive, compassionate professional. Always patient-centric! Her entire staff are solidly focused on delivering quality dental care. I have been her patient for the 11 years since my retirement from the Navy. She has taken care of my children and wife since 1997. There is no finer dentist in the Capital Area! She and her team are simply the best!

I hate going to the dentist. There, I said it. After relocating to the area from out of state about a year and a half ago, I’ve been less that attentive to my dental situation. My opening statement should give some insight as to why. Well, with the recent on-set of some sensitivity in one tooth, did everything I could to put off the inevitable. Extra brushing... new fancy toothbrush... more flossing. However, with some pressure from my wife I figured I could not put it off any longer. Time do fa...read morece my fear. When I made the appointment, I booked it two weeks out, further prolonging my fate, in spite of the fact they could have gotten me right in. When the day finally came & I pulled in to the parking lot, I sat in my truck thinking “maybe I’ll just leave and put this off longer.” Then in the elevator I said to myself “you could just ride this thing back down you know”. Unfortunately the doors opened and I stepped out onto the 6th floor. I’m just a few feet away now. Ugh! Fighting with myself, I opened the door to the office and was immediately greeted by the staff with big smiles. With introductions and some paperwork completed I was asked to take a seat. But by the time my bottom touched the chair the kindest most bubbly “dental angel” came out and asked me to come on in. This dental hygienist was simply amazing. Professional, kind, funny, gentle and incredibly comforting. I could not believe it. My fear and anxiety were completely gone. I was told what to expect, what the steps were and given comforting information at every step. My experience at Lakeside Dental was nothing short of wonderful, and it was the people that made it so. Every step of the way I was impressed by this facility and the amazing people they have hired. Big thanks to the whole team, from someone who will not only be back, but is excited for the next time I get to go. read less
