I've never had my teeth cleaned so gently. No painful jabs to the gums. Then the dentist examined my teeth and Xrays, and checked my whole mouth for signs of cancer. Yesterday he gave me a filling and it didn't hurt. Even the novocaine shot didn't hurt. I'm scared of dental work. I have a small mouth but Dr. Feldman didn't have any trouble working in there without smashing my lip or straining my mandibular joint. I can't believe how well it went! Very relaxing rooms with big windows, high ceilings, not claustrophobic, clean, bright. My dentist Dr. Nate Feldman, and hygienist Courtney, are by far the best I've ever had. read less

I think I was one of Dr. Mary Consamus's first patients many years ago. I have always felt valued and cared for when I have visited her dental office. I will miss seeing her but anticipate that same welcoming feeling on my next visit. Happy retirement Mary and Joe🙂

the first time we went to this office, our dentist Nathan Feldman was our dentist. he is professional, extremely skilled, caring , listens to his patients needs. My daughter injured her mouth and teeth, she needed extensive dental work done. Nathan, is very skilled at his work. very detailed. if you want a professional office, this is the office for you. the front desk is courteous. the assistance are very knowledgable , personable and caring. highly recommend for all your dental work needs.

Excellent office from top to bottom, from the staff to the hygienists to the dentists (my specific dentist is Dr. Feldman). I'm pretty grateful to have this caliber of office in the Ames area. Honest, professional, diligent and kind. Homerun.

I was a masters student at Iowa State University many years ago. I foolishly did not add Delta Dental coverage to my Welmark coverage. I thought dental care would be cheaper/easier when I got a full time job with a company. After graduating, I worked full time for 2 years, with zero debt, and could easily pay for dental care offered by the aerospace company I worked for. I didn’t see a dentist during that time because it would cost more than it would have at ISU. I came back to get my PhD in mec...read morehanical engineering working at the VRAC. I had some orthodontic problems recently and thought I better see a dentist first in case I had other problems to fix. The fees for dental coverage are so small compared to the potential out-of-pocket orthodontist costs I expected to incur. Even though I had 0 prior records, and couldn’t even remember how many years it had been, it did not affect the quality of care I received! In fact the hygienist spent at least twice the normal amount of time to cleaning my teeth. There was 0 judgement about previous lack of care for my teeth. I thought I’d be asked to come back because there was so much work to do. But instead I was asked if I could stay so that they could complete my checkup, xrays, and cleaning! To my shock, the dentist told me I had zero cavities. The dentist had read the info i provided in the online forms about orthodontic problems, and gave me options for repairs! My costs were covered. My teeth look brand new, and I’m going back to fix my permanent retainer. If you are thinking about going, don’t worry or wait. There was an opening less than a week after I called! Knowing your teeth are healthy is one less thing to worry about - which will help you focus more on your work/research! read less

I’ve been coming to North Grand Dental for over 25 years. We’ve moved to Ankeny and continue to drive to Ames for our dental care. There’s no other place to compare for the compassionate care from our dentist and the entire staff. Thank you so much for taking such great care of both me and my husband.
