This was my first visit to Fiddler’s Creek Dental and seeing Dr. Cocris. I was having pain issues with my lower left two back teeth. Dr. Cocris spent so much time and effort to find a solution. He was not rushed in any way. Although he did not find anything wrong with my teeth or the crowns on them, he decided to grind a little off each tooth. I highly recommend this office and especially Dr. Dan Cocris! Such a professional approach and friendly team! The attention to details, gentle touch and honest communication really impressed me. Went in for a second opinion , The Dentist came in did some x-rays and came back with the same conclusion However this guy put everything on a big screen TV and took the time and Showed me what's going on with that tooth. He spent more time on me and explained everything to a T. Did I mention I called for the 2nd opinion and they squeezed me in the same day...

Went to Dr. Cocris for a simple chipped tooth, unsurprisingly I had additional issues!While getting my chipped tooth addressed Dr. Cocris noticed I had a cavity developing behind two front teeth. He was able to address that on the spot along with a cleaning and the original issue of a chipped tooth. He was extremely professional and time efficient. Painless dentistry, cutting-edge tech, and an impossible crownDr. Cocris has been my dentist for over a year, since before he opened Fiddler’s Creek Dentistry. Recently I went to him to replace a 13-year-old crown that had never quite fit right. I have the kind of small mouth that’s hard for dentists to work on in the first place, and this was the furthest back upper right molar (tooth #2, says the internet). On top of that, there wasn’t a lot left of the tooth to attach a crown to, due to decay...read more that had sneaked in under the old crown. Basically, a worst-case scenario that would normally result in pulling the tooth and getting an implant, which would have required a bone graft in my case.In a heroic effort, Dr. Cocris saved the tooth, then made me a temporary crown so good that I actually forgot it was there – in fact, it was the only temporary crown I’ve ever had that didn’t feel weird and unpleasant, and I have a mouthful of crowns. The process of making the temp crown – and getting the shape for the final crown - was the highest-tech of any office I’ve ever been to: instead of biting down on that squishy waxy slime stuff to make an impression, Dr. Cocris and his assistant used a latest-generation scanner device that did the whole thing digitally, with hyper accuracy.His office got the permanent crown back from the lab within a few days, not the usual two weeks. It’s made of top-quality materials, unlike the old piece of junk I’d had in there. And then we got to work. Which means I relaxed in the chair and Dr. Cocris did the work.The tooth was saved, the crown fit great, but that wasn’t the end of the story. I learned a lot about the benefits of occlusion adjustment 20 years ago when it turned out to be the cure for my really bad chronic TMJ pain at that time. Having your teeth fit together perfectly is way more important than I had ever realized, and the adjustments that feel huge in your mouth are actually tiny and delicate. Anyway, Fiddler’s Creek Dentistry had a latest-tech solution for that too, a device that you bite down on and it shows the relative pressure of each contact point right on the screen. This enabled them to make the precise adjustments to fit the crown into my bite perfectly.Afterwards, Dr. Cocris gave me a big grin and said, that was the most difficult crown of his career.The price for the service was incredibly fair, especially by Naples standards. And the office even takes insurance.For people who are scared of the dentist because they think it’s always painful, I would like to add that, unbelievably, none of this was painful. Some dentists have hammer hands and are heavy on the drill. Dr. Cocris is the opposite. He apologized for something he thought might be painful that I hadn’t even noticed. If you’re the type who avoids going to the dentist because just thinking about it makes you cringe in pain, I really encourage you to give FCD a visit. read less

I usually hate going to the dentist but Dr. Cocris was knowledgeable and kind and made my visit comfortable. He walked me through what he was going to do step by step and was gentle because he knew I was sensitive to pain. I can’t wait to go back for cleanings and can’t recommend him and his staff anymore highly. Also it’s a brand new and beautiful office.

Wonderful dental care- I received a general dentistry exam and had retainers made as well. The whole process, from Dr. Cocris’s exam and thorough education to getting the mold and scan done for my retainers, was so smooth. The staff is very friendly as well! You can really tell the passion Dr. Cocris and the rest of the team have for great dental care. I will absolutely continue to come here for any of my dental needs!
