She does nice work but very money focused.
Before going to my dentist appointment I asked twice if my insurance would cover the cost of the appointment and said I would have to cancel the appointment otherwise. They said yes both times and now I have a bill for the majority of the cost and they havent returned my voicemail. When I was there for my first and only visit the front desk had swapped my file for someone else's with the same name, I couldn't get a word in to tell them that they were wrong till the lady at the desk had shared wa...read moreComment from the practiceI am not sure exactly what transpired in your phone calls asking if services would be covered. Most of our patients will let us know if they have used benefits in another office, or if they know that they are close to their yearly maximum. The services required are normally well covered by the insurance companies that our office deals with and so perhaps that is the cause of the miscommunication. Most disconcerting is the comment about a team member swapping your chart for a patient with the same name. Patient privacy is extremely important to Dr. Ferrari and we work hard to protect the privacy of each of our patients. I did peruse our patient database and we do not have another patient with your name. I've been going to Dr. Ferrari for years. She's incredibly professional. Her staff is friendly; the office is clean and inviting. She's got state-of-the-art equipment. She's also really expensive. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Always gentle, very thorough, and makes me feel comfortable in the chair.

It is unfortunate that you feel she is very money focused as Dr. Ferrari's number one priority is the health of our patients. Our office uses high quality dental products, and our staff is well trained - these do have an impact on cost. Even though we are a premier provider for Delta, she has also partnered with Cigna and Anthem Blue Cross to make more affordable options for our patients and their families. We cannot control the coverage of insurance companies, and patients are ultimately responsible for their out-of-pocket costs.
