For over 21 years Ames dentist, Dr. Jason Niegsch, has been serving patients and exceeding their expectations. Dr. Niegsch is one of the most highly trained general dentists in the state of Iowa. Patients travel long distances to see Dr. Niegsch. He is one of only 30 dentists in the state of Iowa and one of only 6% of dentists nationally who has achieved Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is highly trained in Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ/TMD), and many patients are referred to him from all over the state. Dr. Niegsch has been providing clear orthodontics with Invisalign for over 11 years and patients are thrilled with their life-changing results.
Dr. Niegsch is committed to serving and being generous in our beautiful community of Ames and surrounding communities. For many years he has volunteered for Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM) and is now serving as the Co-Director for this statewide event. Dr. Niegsch has held free dental care days for Veterans and Active Duty Military for several years through the Smiles for FREEdom organization. Annually, the office supports the Story County United Way, Ames Youth & Shelter Services, the Ames Emergency Residence Project, local schools and churches, as well as charities that are near and dear to our team’s hearts and our patients’ hearts. As the dad of four kids, Charlie, Ben, Joe and Mollie, Dr. Niegsch enjoys time outside of work coaching his kids’ sports teams, going to their games, spending time outdoors hiking and fishing, competing in triathlons, golfing, and traveling. His wife, Marcie, helps provide community outreach for the office around managing their busy family of six. Ben Niegsch, Dr. Niegsch’s 11-year-old son has Down syndrome, so it’s a passion for the Niegsch family to provide awareness and support for those of all abilities.
Dr. Niegsch received his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Iowa. After college he followed in his dad’s footsteps and enlisted in the US Navy, where he served as an active duty dentist in Japan and Chicago, IL. It’s a priority for Dr. Niegsch to take care of our military service members. Read Less
