I love working with people, and my greatest passion in dentistry is building relationships with my patients and my team. I view my patients not just as patients, but rather as friends and family. My name is Mallory Harris, I moved to the Pacific Northwest from the Southeast, where I worked in private practice. I grew up in middle Tennessee in the small town of Columbia, about an hour south of Nashville. For my undergraduate and dental degrees, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama and attended Samford University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. My husband and I got married before dental school and have been married for 7.5 years, so he has supported me through ...Read Moreit all. After dental school, we moved to the beautiful mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina so that I could complete a General Practice Residency to further my training in dentistry. My husband and I love to travel in our off time! We have traveled to the Pacific Northwest several times and when deciding on residency programs we were torn between this area and North Carolina. We are ultimately very grateful for our time in Asheville and enjoyed exploring the east coast while we were there. We loved living in the mountains and hiking while I was working in private practice in North Carolina. We fell in love with the PNW for many of the same reasons that we enjoyed Asheville. In the south, we call Asheville a “mini Portland” and maybe that is why the transition here has been so easy and comfortable. We can’t wait to explore this area – mountains, beaches, and everything in between! I am very excited to be practicing with Dr. Hough! We have a very similar treatment philosophy, and we recognized that in each other the moment we met. We both believe in delivering gentle, compassionate care to patients.
