Ann completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee prior to joining this practice in 1988. Ann believes in post-graduate study and continuously advancing her skills. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, the Second District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard Academy. She has completed curriculums with the Pankey Institute for Comprehensive Dentistry and the Dawson Dental Institute and pursues numerous continuing education opportunities each year. Ann is also part of a community of study. She currently is a member of Knoxville’s Pankey Study Club and The Oral Design and Implant Study Club. Ann enjoys volunteering and has found caregiving at the Volunteer Ministry Center fulfilling. Ann enjoys time with her family and is active in her church. Dr. Derek Osborne joined Dr. Ann Trivette in 1998. Collectively, they hold over fifty years of dental experience. He is known in the practice for his exacting dental work and excellent hand skills. Derek excels in difficult procedures and is calm, reassuring and kind. He is focused on our patients’ experiences, specifically in valuing the time investment each person makes in being here. He believes in delivering quality dentistry while maintaining a long term relationship with his patients. ...Read More Dr. Osborne received his degree in Chemistry from UT-Knoxville in 1985 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from UT-Memphis in 1989. He completed a comprehensive General Practice Residency with the U.S. Army and consequently did a tour in Europe for the next four years. After joining a practice near his home in East Tennessee, he was elated to join Ann in Knoxville to begin their practice together. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 25+ years and their daughter and has fun with many different sports activities like running, biking, hiking, and an occasional sprint triathlon. Derek is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Second District Dental Society and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry – a designation requiring over 500 hours of post-graduate study. He participates in numerous continuing education programs each year and has done several medical mission trips to outlying villages in Mexico. He has invested his time in local missions as well. Dr. Michelle is originally from Knoxville and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from UTK. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, where she graduated with honors. During her dental school career, she was twice awarded the Harold Cloogman award for outstanding leadership and service and was inducted into the Richard Doggett Dean Honorary Odontological Society. Dr. Brennan Pilgreen is a practicing general dentist from East Tennessee. She recently joined the Trivette and Osborne practice after practicing in the Tri-Cities Area. A native of Maryville she attended undergraduate school at Maryville College, where she majored in Biology, before heading to Memphis where she attended dental school at the University of Tennessee. Her focus lies on providing patients with a low-stress dental experience as well as an open patient-doctor relationship to facilitate the highest level of care. Developing personal relationships with patients is paramount to Dr. Brennan, and she enjoys providing a range of dental procedures in order to provide comprehensive care. Brennan has recently married her husband Alex in the fall. Her passions include all sorts of crafting, spending time outdoors, and taking care of Alex and their dog, Luna. Some of her specific hobbies include making personalized crafts, sewing, hiking, kayaking, weight lifting, and running. Dr. Alex Pilgreen is a Tennessee native who joined the Trivette and Osborne practice in 2019. Originally from Memphis, Dr. Alex had been practicing in the Tri-Cities over the last couple years before moving to the Knoxville area. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Auburn, where he majored in Biochemistry, before heading back to Memphis to attend dental school at the University of Tennessee. They enjoy practicing dentistry together and complement each other in the clinical setting. Some of his other hobbies include cooking, brewing, traveling, and participating in various sporting activities including a Half-Ironman.
